Our panelists for this session are:
- Mark Thielman is the author of the Johnson and Nance mysteries, set in the splendor of America’s national parks. Mark’s short fiction has twice received the Black Orchid Novella Award and been included in The Best Private Eye Stories of the Year (2025). A career prosecutor for both Tarrant and Dallas Counties, Mark also served as a criminal magistrate. He is the president of SINC North Dallas. His third book, The Firefall, will be published on April 14th.

- Judge Debra H. Goldstein is the award-winning author of With Our Bellies Full and the Fire Dying, a collection of her short stories, Kensington’s Sarah Blair mystery series, and standalones Maze in Blue and Should Have Played Poker. Her novels and short stories have been named Agatha, Anthony, Derringer, and Claymore finalists and received Silver Falchion, IPPY, AWC, and BWR awards.
