In a recent SinC-Up Tip, author, editor, and coach, Judy Mohr offered tips on how writers can learn to say “No!” It’s a fun approach to focusing on making time for your writing.

Here are a few of the insights Judy shared
·         As children we were taught that saying no is rude and inconsiderate, but in saying no as an adult we are reclaiming our time and our voice.
·         As a new writer you receive so many rejections that when you receive your first offer, you may be tempted to say yes even if you have hesitations about the contract.
·         Feedback from an editor may not be what’s right for your character or story.
·         Saying no to family or friends can be a challenge but is sometimes necessary to protect your writing time.
·         Judy, shared a sample phrase to help you to say no.
