In a recent SinC-Up Tip, best-selling author, Tori Eldridge, shared her insights on reading an audiobook.

Most publishers don’t encourage authors to narrate their own audiobooks. However, if you, like Tori, have a background in acting and/or voiceover work, your publisher may consider you for the job of narrator.

Here are a few of the suggestions Tori shared:

• You’ll need to provide a sample narration to publishers.
• Invest in a good microphone and quality headphones.
• Rehearse! Preparation will help things go more smoothly during production.
