How long will your audiobook’s running time be? Why should you care? Author and award-winning audio producer Scott Pinzon, aka Cole Chase, shares some insights on planning for your audiobook.

Here are a few of the tips Cole shared:

• Narrators typically charge a set amount per finished hour.
• If you don’t have an estimate of the finished hours of your book, you can’t project your costs.
• A typical reader averages 150 words per minute, but there are exceptions.
